After expecting some really positive forward directions from the Rudd government they came out with a lame budget that doesn't give a positive forward help for renewable energies , especially after ratifying the Kyoto Protocol. Whats with this thinking to offer less that John Howards government.
Have we made a mistake with this government. I'd like to hear your comments.
Lame Budget? That's the understatement of the financial year. They give the States a bit extra funding to reduce the hospital waiting lists - and then with a stroke of the pen add another half-million potential patients to the public hospital waiting list. Mad.
While I am not a fan of politics or the overall system as a rule I do think that the budget was pretty insignificant in the scale of things. While they have provided some tax cuts for some of our population I am a little surprised that they were not as aggressive as previous governments were.
In saying that I think like most labour governments this one will only be around for a short time... Lets see how long it takes for this lot to send the country backwards.
We've shunned Beazley a couple of times, passed over Crean, nearly got stuck with Latham, and now we expect Rudd to wave his magic wand and the Labor Party will change its spots overnight and become a government for all people.
I'd like to see that!
Nonetheless, I reckon they deserve two terms - unless Wayne gets his sums wrong.
