Travelling to the Sunshine Coast 2 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
My wife and I are travelling to the Sunshine Coast in January 2009. This is our first time in Australia. We enjoy camping, bushwalking and the outdoors. Is January a good time to be camping or is it to hot? and do we have to be concerned about the poisonous creatures like snakes?

Hey Hulger,
I am also in to camping. I have lived here on the Sunshine Coast for over 10 years now and there are plenty of areas to go camping. As for the heat... well it can be hot for some people as it does get humid here at times but it all depends on where you are from as to whether you will find it hot or not. The whole snake thing is not really an issue I dont believe unless of course you come across one... They will generally leave you alone if you leave them alone...

Just be careful with the Drop bears... they get nasty
