So the Sunshine Coast Regional Council has decided to give its residents a massive rate rise of nearly 10% - for what - just to maintain existing services. There's nothing new. There's no extra motorways, no additional transport infrastructure and no new landfill sites.
So what are they paying for that wasn't already targeted and planned for?
If this is the cost of "amalgamation" then they've lost me. I didn't want the amalgamation in the first place and to now discover that its not going to be cheaper to reside here, but even more expensive, is outrageous. The whole facade has been a BIG CON.
