Markets & Shopping
Eumundi Markets

The Eumundi Market is one of Australia's leading tourist attractions and is held every Saturday and Wednesday of the year come rain, hail or shine. Established in 1979 it is situated in the heart of the historic town of Eumundi and is run by The Eumundi & District Historical Association Inc . This otherwise sleepy hinterland town springs to life in the early hours of the morning, transforming into a vibrant mecca for shoppers looking for something different.

The iconic and towering heritage listed fig trees rise above the 500 plus stall market. Wide shady walkways make strolling Eumundi Marketsamong the stalls and old quirky buildings a pleasant experience. A plethora of all things locally handmade, the market sells everything from delicately constructed craft to organically grown produce.

Music, Arts & Crafts
View artworks and sculptures by local artists. Taste home-made lemonade, freshly baked breads, locally grown produce and fresh seasonal fruit. Have your face painted, your palm read or indulge in a foot massage. When you need a break from the shopping there's plenty of local talent to keep you entertained. Listen to the diverse music of the electronic didgeridoo and bongo drums or traditional bush poetry and street theatre.

Gastronomy
Stay for lunch at one of the fantastic food areas. Asian, Mediterranean and classic Australian cuisine will tempt your taste buds and satisfy your appetite. And don't forget the local restaurants and traditional pubs.

History
After the market, explore the historical town of Eumundi. Many of the buildings in this unique Queensland town were constructed between 1890 and 1930 and are fine examples of the era. Explore the Museum, the original bank building, the old bakery and the School of Arts Hall.
