Caloundra

Approximately 60 minutes' drive north of Brisbane's CBD and marking the southern end of the Sunshine Coast, Caloundra offers a wide variety of fascinating coves and sheltered, sandy beaches which are ideal for children and water sports.

Caloundra's main beaches are Golden Beach, Bulcock Beach, Kings Beach, Shelly Beach, Moffat Beach, Dicky Beach and Currimundi. The Caloundra Coastal Path stretches north from Golden Beach and is excellent way of exploring the magnificent views and historic sites.

Kings Beach is recognised as being Caloundra's main beach, renowned for surfing and a unique foreshore swimming pool in front of the Surf Club.

Caloundra offers direct access to the stunning Pumicestone Passage, separating it from Bribie Island. Here you can take a boat trip or kayaking tour to marvel at the amazing wildlife and beautiful scenery.

In addition to fishing, sailing and surfing, there's plenty to see and do around Caloundra, such as Australia Zoo, Aussie World and the Ettamogah Pub, Big Kart Track and Queensland Air Museum.
